This is a system entity that does not have a main form. Opening a record form for this entity is not supported.

Good morning all,

I have added the subject field to my cases view and when a user attempts to click on the hyperlinked subject in view the error above appears, I understand there is no forms for subject entity but is there a way around displaying the subject without it been linked field where it tries to open the subject record.

Wave 2 is enabled

thanks Una

    Hi una ,

You can change area to 'Service Management', then you can view subjects under 'Case Settings':

Or go Settings > Service Management to view subjects:

    Thanks Leah Ju,

I guess the issue is when we display subject on a case view and a user inadvertently clicks on it as its a related record they will get the error message. that was my concern, they wouldn't be editing the subject , can i make the subject on the view display as just text and not be clickable?

    Hi una,

Unfortunately, you can't make subject field in the view not be clickable.

Or you can create a new text field, and use one workflow to copy subject value to populate the new created field, then you can add the new created field not subject to the view, which can show subject value but not be clickable.

For new created case, the new field can be filled with value of subject automatically, but you need run workflow for existing cases manually to populate the new field.
