ADD fields to page in Business Central

Posted on by 10

Hello,

Previously in NAV 2016, I see list of fields on pages by CTRL+ALT+F1 (Page Inspection), I go to dynamic nav administration , go to respective page, click on design, go to record and select required fields, compile the page, its came on my respective list page easily.

Now in business central what is procedure to do the same thing?

Thanks & Regards

Sunny

The large benefit of having your code in extensions and in AL objects comes when you need to / want to upgrade your system.

It might take you a bit longer time to add a field in AL then in the old C/side dev environment. But you save that time pretty quickly when it comes to keeping your system upgraded.

AL also opens up for the world to be able to develop in AL with out the need of a special dev. license. In the long run i think that will be a great benefit for the whole BC community.

    Hi,

Still you can use the same keys for Page inspections, but you can not edit anything unless you have a Permission to customize the code using the Visual Code application for AL objects.

For more ref. visit the below url
