I keep seeing this business scenario coming up without out of the box functionality to support it in D365, and any reasonable workaround.
I now wonder if anyone seen a 3rd party tool or an add-on that deal with it?
One investment project, to capitalize costs to multiple fixed assets with the eliminate process?
yes, I can create multiple sub-projects and eliminate from each of them.
yes, I can create one fixed asset, and split it.
Neither option is a good solution when you have 50, 100, or 300 assets... which is a scenario I keep seeing in construction vertical enterprise.
In addition, the way project transactions work, they are very hard to "split" into multiple assets in some cases.
any thought? suggestion? good ISV with a product that solves it?
I am quite frustrated not being able to support a common enterprise scenario ...

Agree that there is basically no smart solution available for that yet.
Suggestion:
Can you please create an Idea on the Ideas Portal and share it via Linkedin, Twitter and other media channels?
Will do my best to find as many supporters as possible to get this into the standard application.
As far as I know around 30-50 supporters for an idea would be a good argument...
