From Business Central to data warehouse

Greetings.

We need to export a lot of tables from Business Central to a data warehouse on SQL Azure.

What is the best way to achieve this?

We tried the dataverse approach but it seems to contain only CRM tables (we need to load alot of finance-related tables).

Any suggestions would be welcome!

I have the same question (1)

Hi, You can try standard APIs, or standard WebServices. If it is not enough, you can develop new API pages, or add new List pages, and then publish them to WebService.

    For APIs:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-api-pagetype

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-develop-custom-api

    https://yzhums.com/6117/

    https://yzhums.com/22845/

    For WebService:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/webservices/web-services

    Hope this info also helps.

    Thanks.

    ZHU

Using datalakes can be an option and there is an open source app available for that here:

    Hello Maxime42

can you please share how did you configure cloud replicator? For some reason, I’m only getting errors when trying to run the replication.

    Thanks,

    Mishal

    Hi

I never saw that error before when I tested the app. Please send email to  info@efoqus.ca  and they are usually quick to answer and help.

For anyone seeking to find an easy solution to this in the future, I recommend this app: Ecodel Exclusive - Datawarehouse Connector (microsoft.com)

    Can be downloaded from AppSource.
