Is your client still responsive? This is one of the screens that requires batch processing, right?

Make sure that your aos is configured as a batch server and that that it processes the batch groups that the upgrade tasks are using (probably DataUpdate).

    Hi Esh,

in system Administration go to Batch group and create a New Batch :

Go back to System Administration and choice System -------> Server Configuration ------> Add your new Batch in Batch server groupe / Remaining groups :

    And complet your checklist....

    Kind regards,

    Hi Esh,

Are any other aoses listed as batch server that are not available in your cluster?

    If so, delete those.

Also, there is a run button, click it :). There should also be a refresh button so you can monitor the progress. By the way, I found this msdn article for you: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd309696(v=ax.50).aspx (see: Upgrade jobs fail to start)

    Hi Esh,

It is possible that the batch tasks you see are waiting on some to run in another partition.  The lower grid on the batch tasks form will show you any dependencies.  If you have multiple partitions, make sure that your UserId exists and is enabled in all of the partitions.  The upgrade jobs will run with the same user ID in each partition even if those are actually mapped to different Active Directory users.  If you are using the "new" demo data set for R2, it will want to run some upgrade jobs in the ext and ps partitions in addition to the initial partition.
