Changing worker type for a worker under multiple companies

Team,

I was assigning a new contractor to multiple companies in our D365FO system.

As I was doing so, I realized that I had added the worker as Contractor on our main company (which is correct), but I forgot to change the worker type from Employee to Contractor for the remaining companies I was adding the worker to.

I went to Human Resources > Workers > Workers

Then under Personnel Actions, I clicked on "Change worker employment type" and the widow with the corresponding name popped up.

But I'm lost as what to do next. I can't seem to find any further instructions.

I tried to change the Worker Type from Employee to Contractor but it won't let me.

Also the first company that populates has the correct worker type so I don't want to change that record, but I don't know how to bring up the other 4 companies the person is assigned where the worker type is incorrect.

Does anyone know where I can find step by step instructions that will assist me in correcting this error.

Many thanks in advance!!

Cisar

    Hi Cisar,

    Try this -

Go to Human Resources > Workers > Contractors

In Action Pane Click Versions > Employment History

Delete which is not required, verify and create as required.

I didn't which forum would be the correct one to post my question so I opted for the General Forum.

I added this to my notes, in case it shows I run into a similar situation.

    Thank you Charlotte.
