Precheck Report and Printing to PDF

Hi I'm new to managing a GP environment.

Here is my problem when my Payroll lady goes to do a payroll she does the precheck report and when she tries to print to pdf it freezes. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If i go down to help her It will just randomly work after closing GP or redoing the build for that payroll. It seems to be randomly printing to adobe PDF just freezes. Need help on resolution. I've done fresh installs of GP and Adobe and still randomly get the issue.

When you print the report, instead of picking the Adobe PDF printer, pick the Microsoft Print to PDF printer. Does it create the PDF or freeze up?

It doesn't create the PDF. Then when we force close the program and go in to do it again it works and looks like we are paying people twice. Luckily it happens at this stage and not when we are posting. I can have them attempt Microsoft Print to PDF but feel like I've tried it once before. I"ll keep you posted what happens with Microsoft PDF printer.

Hello,

It's a good idea as Joe suggested to try a different PDF printer to rule out Adobe, but random issues are typically environmental in nature as well, so not really anything caused specifically by GP code or it would happen every single time. If an Adobe issue, I do see lots of information on the internet for 'PDF freezing', so you may want to explore some of those posts as well.
