While invoicing an SO, I am getting this error: "account number for transaction type sales order issue does not exist".

I checked the account num is populated for the Invoice Issue account and everything else looks fine as well. Not sure what is missing? I checked couple of other blogs as well, but still not able to figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi ,

can you please check if you setup the account on item group.

inventory management -> setup -> posting -> posting profile.

Hi Khosla,

After verifying account num existing in Inventory posting profile Sales order Tab > Sales order issue, and that the conditions in posting covers all items/Item groups of the items selected in the SO, you can verify that the account selected is included in Account structures activated.

It is activated under COA as well as under Posting profiles.

Khosla,

Have you checked in Setup > Chart of accounts > Configure account structures Menu that the account is included in one of the structures? Is that structure is activated ? Is the structure included in Leger > Account structures?

I think I found the issues, sorry guys!

One of the items was missing the Issue account. Hopefully this should resolve the issue.

Hi Khosla,

I am facing the same problem as yours, but I made sure that all items have a complete posting profile and accounts all properly configured in account structure, I even can post the item mentioned in the error alone in a separate SO!!!!

Verify accounts are well populated in SO Lines using Financial > Distribute amounts

As Hichem CHEKEBKEB said in his 2nd reply verify your setup. Other then this check if you have some posting defnition for posting.

Normal setup

1. Vendor/Customer posting Profile

2. Add COA structure in ledger

3. Item Group posting profile

Like PO you can't see the financial distribution.

goto: (2009) AX : Invt. Mgmt--> setup--> posting--> posting

here u have to fill that issue, revenue and consumption fields.
