Hi!

I am fairly new to Dynamics and could use a hand if you have a suggestion.

I am tasked to build a flow for FS that shows the history of an asset. So that a Fieldworker is able to see a kind of history for the customer asset that shows which bookable resources was working on it before and how many times this asset has already been serviced.

Any ideas how to set this up properly?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Greetings from Stockholm

Oliver

You can use the Related Work Orders subgrid on the asset to see the history of past work orders which have been related to the asset.

If you want to go into more detail then you can use the Asset Properties table to document any changes of the assets over time which will then log a history against that asset  - Asset properties in Dynamics 365 Field Service | Microsoft Learn

There is also the timeline feature where technicians can add notes against the asset

    Hi partner,

After customer assets are created, you can track repairs, inspections, tests, IoT data, and issues to build out a service history. Understanding service history is important for making better repair decisions, maintaining asset lifespan and uptime, and ultimately keeping customers happy. There are a few ways to build out a service history, including:

    • With notes on the timeline
    • Work orders
    • With agreements

You can refer to the following link for more details:

So there several solutions to implement this feature

    1. You can add a subgrid in the CustomerAsset Form that displays all work orders related to this customer asset and then, you can export this view on Excel

    2. You can create a system or personal dashboards that contain Views and charts and why not timelines, to display all activities related to your customer assets

    3. If you want count the number of work orders that have created for this customer asset, you can create a rollup field.
