AX7 Azure subscription for partners? Azure on organizational account?

Hi experts,

Does anyone know what's included in the 90 days trial of AX7?

As a partner do you get any discount/cash on Azure or do you have to pay full price for your demo VMs, any one knows?

Also do you know if you are suppose to use your organizational MS account on Azure or your standard MS account?  We have msdn subscriptions connected to our MS accounts but I know that with the AX7 LCS you must use your organizational account, is that also true for Azure?

(We will also reach out to our MS contact)

Thank you

//Anders

    • 90 days trial has already gone. It’s expired already for majority of people, except those who subscribed late the CTP8 version. 90 days offer was avaible for partners for CTP8, which is no more there along with offer.

    • The new offer is about 18 months for partners. You don’t have to pay anything for AX, as long as you are hosting it in Local VHD for developers. Etc.

    • If you have to use it at azure, you have to pay for Azure as per azure plan (whatever you may choose)

    • About organizational account, yeah you have to use organization account. Microsoft recommends it. I never tried with other account such as yahoo or Gmail etc. Most likely that will not work. This is for AX7 (the organizational account required). For Azure, I am not sure.

    • If you haven’t got 18 months offer yet, contact your regional Microsoft offer dealing with Business Solutions.

    Hi Anders,

In addition: For Azure you can use any subscription you have. If you have a subscription which can be managed with a Hotmail/live email address this can be linked to deploy your AX7 machine.

    Hi Elie Rostom,

You need to deploy AX7 instance via LCS.

Subscription and deployment are two different concepts.

Subscription enables someone to be eligible for use of a service. Whereas Deployment is a mechanism to deploy something.

    Hi,

but I think you cant't use a Hotmail/LiveID account for the NewDAX 'part' of LCS. In my opinion (maybe this is changed in the meanwhile) you'll only have the 2012 deployment there.

Please correct me, if I'm wrong. (There are so much changes alyways)

    regards

    Douglas

Thank you all for your replies.

how can i use the subscription concept? from where can i start?

I noticed that only i can deploy ax2012 through LCS using my windows live ID as Douglas Noel mentioned above.

    Awaiting your feedback.

    Regards,

    ELie

    Hello,

I'm trying to download AX7 VM but with no luck.

I have access to LCS and Parthner or Customer sources.

Can someone please give me lights on this.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

    Edwin
