Custom report layout slows down the rendering of the report

I was working on a few report layout changes and thought of using the custom report layout, but that slows down the rendering of the report. The dataset is created in almost the same time, but when press next page on the preview, the rendering of the page takes longer if I use the customreport layout.

I'm using NAV 2016 I think CU 10. Couldn't find a solution or even a bug report for this one.

Never listen about this issue. Normally is code (queries) that slows down a report, not rendering.

What’s the differences between the two layouts? Are there images? Do you load images from NAV database?

For testing I kept the layouts same.

Hi Moiz,

we have analyzed this issue already and worked with the development to get this optimized.

For now, please review our blog blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/nav for the next upcoming cumulative update 32 for NAV 2016 where this problem is most likely fixed when nothing unexpected happens.
