    HI,

Correction is choosen whenever we want to change the quantity on the selected product receipt and cancel is choosen to cancel remaining lines on purchase product receipt.

    Please refer following link:

Correction allows you to change the quantity on a packing slip, provided it is not invoiced or attached to a pending invoice.

Cancel is a special case of correction where all lines are changed to 0.  It is merely a shortcut.  You can always correct a packing slip, setting all lines to 0, and achieve the same end result.

That is the different between them.
