AX 2012 R2 Compare Tool merge Issue

Just happened to notice that, during Import of xpo, the compare tool in AX 2012 R2 does not allow us to merge the object changes using blue arrow button. However you can remove the changes using the red arrow button. This peculiarly happens only for object nodes, the X++ code changes can be merged without any issues. Tried it in two different R2 environments and still the same. Has anyone seen this issue? And is there a solution available to fix this.

I am currently doing an AX 2012 to AX 2012 R2 upgrade, it would be difficult to create the object nodes one by one for all upgrade conflicts. This function was available in the pervious versions, not sure why it is not included in R2.

Especially anyone who is currently doing an upgrade or importing xpo's how do you handle the conflicts? Am facing a lot of localization conflicts in tables, enums so how to include the changes from within the compare tool?

Pinging this question to bring it back up.

Has Anyone else got around this? (cant import the entire XPO in especially when changes exist in the current layer)

One of the main issues is bringing in Fields and relations which do have the copy of AOT arrow for them.

    Hi Praveen,

I am also using both 2012 ans R2 but in my case all objects works fine except tables.

When i compare table than compare tool will not allow to add field using blue line.

Are getting same issue with all AOT objects or its happening with some specific objects.

    Hi All

Take a look to this blog
