Terminate worker - Additional field

Hello, great community,

I'm trying to add a custom field, where I could select the Termination Reason (specific for each legal entity) value for the integration with the payroll system.

In the first form - Terminate worker I could only add the field to the Worker entity and if I added it - the new field is grey-out always.

Because we're using Personnel Action, I tried to add the custom field in the Personnel Action details tab. I try to create fields in Action State, Worker Action and etc - and it's working. I could enter the custom data and save the item. But when I try to get mentioned tables in Power Automate Fin and Ops action, I can't find the tables.

So my questions:
1) Is there any other way to get the data from mentioned tables with PowerAutomate? Maybe an API request?
2) Is there any other way how I could add additional fields to the terminate form/process to save it and then use it for integration with other systems?

Hi, thanks for exploring the possible solutions !

At this moment, I could add a custom field in the specific data entities from the UI, but those entities are not selectable in Power Automate.

So right now, I just left this task for the DEV's, maybe they could manage something else.

    Hello Mantas,

If you are looking to add a new, custom field in which you enter more termination details, you will likely have to have a developer create a custom field for you. This is not something a Power User can do without customization. If you have your developer create a custom field, then it can be available to you in a data entity for import/export and be able to integrate it with your payroll system by mapping it to that new created field.

Another option is using a field that already exists...for example, in your first screen shot you do have a "Justification" free text box at the bottom. Here you have a lot more space to type the reason behind the termination.

Last option and probably the easiest, is to update your Termination reason by updating and adding more termination reason codes to match how you need to integrate to your payroll system. You can add as many as you want and then just select the right code when you terminate. For example "Termination Reason: "Employee resigned" or "Employee resigned - without notice", etc, etc. as detailed as you need to be in the actual termination reason.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Mantas,

The worker action data is not available in Dataverse but if you want to get the data of terminated employees or contractor then you can directly go to employees or contractor entity and you can get that information.
