CRM Team setup

Hi All

I am trying to get teams working within CRM.

The appropriate users are showing as the active members of a team, but the contacts etc of the team aren't coming up when using the various owner filters.

The filters work correctly for current user, or not current user, but if i select a filter with current user plus their teams, the other team members contacts don't show.

Is there some setting to active a team or something that i am missing?

Cheers

    RE: CRM Team setup

User's Team = Teams that the user is a member of (not the administrator of)

For administrator you would need to add a link entity via the "Related"  Owner (Team) and then add a condition where the administrator = current user in it.

The problem with what you are trying to do is that you can't get an OR as in you can't OR when using Related and so you can't get what you really want in one query.

    Thanks Bipin

I agree that this should be the correct way of doing things.  I seem to have it set up correctly, but it still doesn't want to work.

The main reason i wanted to do this was to filter which contacts sync to Outlook.  I have ended up generating a filter that links to individual users rather than a team, and that is working.  Our group is quite small, so this is easy enough.

But still frustrating that the team filters won't work for me!

    RE: CRM Team setup

    Hi,

We don't need to Activate or publish Team.

I have a team that has six members saved in it, but it isn't doing anything.

What do you mean by this?

I setup new Team on crm instance and I have added myself and Test User as Team member.

Now When I add filter - Owner equals Current User Or User's Team. I get records which are assigned to Me and records which are assigned to Team which I am member of.

    5466.CQ52.PNG

If I change filter to Owner equals Current User's Team. It will return only one record which is assigned to Team I am part of.

Hope you understood varios filter. Hierarchy filter is related to Hierarchy setup in Dynamics crm,

    RE: CRM Team setup

    Hi Bipin

I can get to the filter side of things OK.

The issue i have may well be with the team setup itself.

When creating a team, is there some kind of step where you activate the team?  I have a team that has six members saved in it, but it isn't doing anything.

I see no button to save or publish the team.

Perhaps I am lacking a permission?

    RE: CRM Team setup

    Hi,

Please find below details of each filter which you are looking for-

    Owner

    Equals Current User

    Owner Equals Current User

Records owned by logged in user

    Does Not Equal Current User

Owner Does Not Equal Current User

Records not owned by logged in User

Equal Current User Or His Reporting Hierarchy

Owner Equal Current User Or His Reporting Hierarchy

Records owned by current user or other users from his reporting hierarchy

Equal Current User And His Teams Or His Reporting Hierarchy And Their Teams

Owner Equal Current User And His Teams Or His Reporting Hierarchy And Their Teams

Records owned by current user and all teams of current user Or other users and their teams from his reporting hierarchy

    Equals Current User's Teams

    Owner Equals Current User's Teams

Records owned by all teams of current user.

Equals Current User Or User's Teams

Owner Equals Current User Or User's Teams

Records owned by current user or all teams of current user.

    For example -

    Owner Equals Current User's Teams

This will only return records which are owner by Team. And only those teams which current user is part of.

This will not return any record owner of User who is part of those team member.

For your requirement you should look at below links to achieve what you are looking for.
