NAV development environment

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i'm trying open the nav server in the development environment so I can build custom report. When i select open data base en try to select a server name, there are no sql server listed (see image). How can I find the sql server and database name so I can open the database?

If you are not able to see anything on list type it manually it must be your Sql server name with your local system domain (if any)

Go to your local system Settings and find the Device Name, that is your local system Name.

Doesn't work unfortunately, it's not the right server name. Are there other things i could try?

where is your NAV DB? If its in local machine, try to find if there is a Sql Management Studio installed else got to Navision Administrator window and check how your NAV services is started.
