Quick question (I hope) We need a batch job to run 3 times every Tuesday - indefinitely. How would we go about setting that recurrence pattern up for a batch job or can we?

Hi Lally,
This is not possible to mention in one post. All periodic tasks, reports and some other tasks like posting the subledger journals can be run in batch...
Hi Andre ,
Good explanation.
Could you give an example for what kind of business scenarios in AX we need to run the batch jobs ?
Hi Steve,
It is not possible to do it within one batch job as the recurrence cannot handle three times a day, only on the tuesday.
There is a workaround possible: You can put the job 3 times into a batch with the recurrence pattern 'week' and select only the tuesday. Then per job specify the start date/time different.
E.g. if you want to have the job run every tuesday on 9.00 AM, 1.00 PM and 5.00 PM, you can specify the start date/time of the first coming tuesday "August 13 at 9.00 AM", the second on "August 13 at 1.00 PM" and the third on "August 13 at 5.00 PM". (recurrence pattern 'week' and select only tuesday.
The start time will be used for the next week again. Note that you can give the batch job a Task Description where you can specify the time in the description for better tracking if a batch job fails.
