Hello all,

I am looking for some help related to Dynamics 365 Human Resources Odata Entities.
I want to create a flow which will create a record automatically in variable compensation award whenever a record is created in variable compensation enrollment.

My question is, where can I find the create date and time record of this variable compensation enrollment. I can only get Effectivedate from VariableCompensationEnrollments entity. Where can I get the record creation date.

If I go to Record info from Options tab,

and select Show all fields I got all the information on the page including Create Date and Time Field.

Can anyone here please give me the name of this odata entity. So I can get this field record in my flow.

Your response and help will be highly apprecited.

    Hi Hunain,

I can't quickly verify the CDS part without setting up an environment.

    Thanks André,

I was considering to do it with 'CDS create new item' trigger on flow. But I did not find CDS entity for this "Employee variable compensation enrollment".

The only Compensation entities available in CDS for Human Resource are these followings. Please see the image below.

I did not find my required entity here.
My entity is this: Employee variable compensation enrollment

Thanks for all your help until now,

    Hi Hunain,

In Dynamics 365 Human Resources, it is not possible to customize the entity. So, the suggestion from Anup is not working here. The field is enabled on the database, but is not included on the standard entity. For that reason, I asked if you could use another option or not.

If you need the created date/time on an entity, you can create an idea on the Dynamics Ideas portal : https://ideas.dynamics.com.

@Anup can you please describe it more. How can get this field value from Odata entity ?

Created by and date/time fields are part of the table properties. You can try and do an extension and enable the table properties of root datasource and add the fields.

    Thank you for your response.

I need this field value from Odata Entity as we are not using CDS here. Isn't there any other way to trigger the flow once a record is created in VariableCompensationEnrollment entity apart from CDS !

Or if I can get 'create date and time' value then I will create the record on the basis of this value.

If there is no such field value 'create date and time' in the entity then how this record showing on the front end.

    Thanks

    BR

    Hi Hunain,

Do you really need this field value? Or do you need the trigger when a record is new? In the last case, try to use the CDS trigger in Flow for 'When a record is created'. The created date and time field is not part of a data entity.
