When looking at the workflow sessions, what do you see? Is there a workflow in the waiting state? Do you see what it's waiting for?

    It shows waiting for timer

Let's suppose the current datetime is 22/07/2017 8:22 PM. And i set the appointment 20/07/2017 8:30 PM. In that case, I should have to get an email at 8:30 Pm. Right?

Hi MukeshSerene, you should be using Wait condition instead of Timeout condition. picture attached.

It worked. But here is the main issue. Once the workflow is succeesful, it is automatically ended. now workflow is not running. I have unchecked the checkbox and there is no workflow ended setup. What does it mean? Will the workflow not run in the future for checking the other records. Please suggest me.

I have changed the appointment but now it's not in the running state. so will i have to set the workflow running again?

I have implemented a similar complex workflow,

let the workflow trigger when the appointment date is also changed,

you can also add a new field of two options called flag with yes or no

once the workflow starts set the flag to yes

once the email is sent set the flag to no

so the workflow should start by checking the flag.

if the flag is yes it should stop incase u do not want multiple emails when the field is changed.

But since the workflow is on-demand, it should run every time it is invoked.
