Time Entries - Database Access

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I'm creating a JAVA Spring application that would need to insert time entries into Dynamics NAV 2009 database. I would like to know if I can insert entries directly into the table Time Buffer - MFG for "time in" and Time Entry - MFG for "time out". (by deleting the line in the Time Buffer - MFG before inserting the line in the Time Entry - MFG).

Thank you

I also would not recommend to insert records directly to the tables bypassing the application logic, it might lead to data inconsistency in the system. Better to utilize web-services as Suresh suggested.

Yes you can do that but do use the web services to do your operation that way it will execute the business logic.
