We are accessing SL through client server. In quick query, grid to excel option is not visible. When we access SL through application server, then grid to excel option is accessible and it is working fine.
Please suggest how I can setup/activate grid to excel option for quick query in the SL client server.
Is Excel installed in the client server?
For the grid to excel option to work, Excel should be installed in the client server. There is no real way for SL to interact with the Excel in the user's endpoint PC.
I've done this with O365 using the Shared Computer Activation" feature. Check out docs.microsoft.com/.../overview-of-shared-computer-activation-for-office-365-proplus, but the documentation is not very good.

I concur that the excel program files should be installed on the client machine (in your case the server)
I use O365, and I had to download the client excel to get the "grid to excel" button to enable.
