Can't view x++ methods of a table in any model in VS for D365 F&O

How can I view the methods under a table ( table in Application suite or customized model).

for any model I'm not able to /View Code/ F7, it's disabled for me in visual studio.

Hi,

you can't see the code in a Table Extension.

if you want to see the methods, you have to open the standard table.

e.g.

CustTable Extension

you must click on Go To Table XXX

Hi EagleClaws,

For a table inside "ApplicationSuite" or any model, you can easily and directly access the methods

However, if for an extension of SalesTable, you can't access the methods directly. As Mohamed said, you will need to go to the standard table to access those methods as in the first screenshot

Dear Mohamed and Layan, thank you for your time and reply, however the solutions provided didn't help.

There's no "Go To Table" available for me,

There's no view code option available "Application suite" model of the SalesTable either. I've selected the standard table in AOT.

Hi @EagleClaws,

I think the model is locked.

Otherwise when you launch the VM in MS learn the models are open by default.

try to open here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/extend-elements-finance-operations/4-exercise

is worked for me

Hi Eagle,

Normally you should be able to access the code. When you first download the VM, this model is not locked. So maybe you locked it manually?

The application suite model is not available, only there's "Application Suite Form Adaptor" and when I select this one the "Locked" check box is false.

Hi Eagle,

Is this a new VM that was deployed? If not, then was it working before?

Also can u access other table methods in different standard models? Like application foundation..etc
