How To Setup DSN in Multiple User from External DB to AX 2012?

Hi Everyone,

I have developed code for Connect External DB to AX 2012 for Integration purpose.

for this i Have Created DSN for Windows Authentication and I Have Rights to Access SQL Server so i can validate and import Data in AX 2012.

But, While importing a Data from functional or not permission allowed SQL  user for there doing this get error for "Unable Log to Database Error".

my objectives are:

how access data other user whom not having permission to SQL Access.............from DSN Windows Authentication................

    Hi Karthik,

    It is not recommended to give direct permissions on a SQL database. Neither it is recommended to insert data into the AX database other than supported methods such as AIF, Data import/export framework. When inserting or updating records directly, you may bypass all AX business logic and also the record-id framework.

    That users without sufficient permissions are not allowed to access the database is definitely the correct behaviour.

    The right question is: What account should be used for running the code? What would make sense to me is the AOS service or a specialized account just for the integration. You're obviously running it in the context of the current user.
