How to delete confirmed PO in dynamic 365 finance and operation

HI

I have to delete some confirmed POs, I used the change request option to draft the PO, now the PO status is open order and draft but the delete button is still disabled

Note: the change management is enabled and the Pos does not belong to any Purchase requisition, Purchase Agreement, intercompany, SO

    Hi,

    AFAIK, you cannot delete the POs when Change management is ON. Instead of deleting, you can Cancel the PO.

    before I was able to delete the confirmed POs , but I don't know what happened.

    i need a way to delete the confirmed POs

    Hi,

    Was change management enabled when you were able to delete the PO?? Is there any business requirement that you have to delete PO, why cant you cancel it?

    thanks for your response.

    I don't know it was enabled before or not.

    but now when I enabled the active management the PO workflow is disabled and the new POs workflow status is approved.

    these POs belong to PRs, and if I cancel the PO then I have to ask the requester to create new PR

    I don't know, but now when I enabled the active management the PO workflow is disabled and the new POs workflow status is approved.

    but before the workflow was enabled, the new Pos status wasn't approved and i was able to delete the confirmed POs after using the change request for drafting the PO

    Hi ahmad,

    Just try to disable the change management feature in a demo/test environment and compare the system behavior with the one that you currently see in your live environment.

    thanks for your response.

    I disable the change management in the test environment.

    in the test environment, the workflow option was hidden, and the newly created POs workflow status was  Approved, and still, I was unable to delete the Pos after confirmation.

    but in another environment which changes management is active, the workflow option was not hidden and the newly created POs workflow status was draft.

    as I mentioned before I was able to delete the confirmed POs, I just use the "request change" option to draft the PO after that the delete option was enabled and I was able to delete it.

    I think the change management was enabled when I was able to delete the confirmed POs because the workflow was enabled and the newly created POs approval status was draft

    Hi ahmad,

    This sounds very interesting.

    Are all of your environments running the same system version?

    Have you tried deleting the POs after deactivating change management?

    Also, what might help are the hotfixes available on LCS.

    If you are not already running the very latest D365FO version have a look at them.

    In case nothing else works out and you cannot find a fix that seems to match, I would recommend contacting the MS support to have a directly look into your system.

    thanks for your response.

    *Yes, all environments are running the same version.

    *I was unable to delete the POs when change management was disabled even the new created POs

    *We are running the latest version, and the last update was 2 days ago.

    thanks for the recommendation , I will contact the Microsoft
