Wondering how to connect Dynamics CRM with a database using MySQL?

Hello! I have very little database experience, and I'm doing an internship at a startup company that is wanting me to do the following:

We are making a game that college instructors will buy and provide licenses to their students so they can play it. We have a database using MySQL that holds basic information, such as usernames and passwords, etc. We also want to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM for customer relations. Both the database and the CRM will be on the same cloud (using AWS).

I have been instructed to figure out something where when an instructor creates an account, something will be triggered that will automatically create a new contact in the CRM, and triggers will happen when things are changed or added to the instructor's account.

Is there a way to do this? If so, please give me the most detailed explanation you can because I'm a complete beginner with this stuff!

Hi Turbo

You can use something Like Kinswaysoft which has a free SSIS adapter or Scribe which Is premium, and you have the option of Mapping the fields you want to update from both data sources using the Adapters provided, and integration rules for a time based integration or Net Change integration based on a value etc

The above tools should provide a MySQL Adapter, if not then im sure Cosysoft will

It's your gig, have fun with it! Try node.js and socket IO to build up that web service from scratch, spin up an SSIS vm/trial, do everything Raz mentioned as well. Learn as much as you can, while you can!

Completely agree with Ummacrm, certainly isn't an easy task / a task associated with interns who have little experience in the area. However, good luck! Some nice tips above.
