Random Item Blocking in NAV 2013 R2

I have been suspecting this odd behavior for a while, but it finally happened to me. I was editing several item cards, when I found out my actions triggered the blocking of one item. The thing is, I absolutely did not tick off the "Blocked" checkbox in the Item card (I swear!)

This Change Log Entries extract shows my activity on this item.

Obviously I don't expect anybody to find a solution for an occasional random event, for which I'm not sure of the origin. But does somebody have seen this kind of behavior before?

    Hi,

You can either see the seconds of that "Date and Time" through a query on your SQL-server.

Or select the record and press "Ctrl + Alt + F1". In the new window open the FastTab "Table Fields". You will see the unformatted value of the "Date and Time"-field.

Well, the "Date and Time" field doesn't include seconds and milliseconds.

But anyway, it's possible that it's customization gone awry. I was hoping it wasn't the case, but at least it proves that Dynamics NAV don't generate random events for no reason, so it's reassuring!

I will ask IT to explore the issue.

    Thanks !

    Hi,

That seems to be a customization in your DB.
When you include the seconds in the "Date and Time"-field, you can assume if it was a functional change.
Normally, a functional change happens just miliseconds after the user input.
(It's impossible for a human to change two different values in just a couple of miliseconds :-))
