Update cross-references on schedule

I'm thinking to build the cross-references in my dev box that either adding new entries or update the existing one in XRefDB. In AX2012, we can call the XRef static method on a batch job so it can be schedule to run on non-working hours.

What should be the approach to accomplish this task?

I have the same question (0)

When you get latest and build, tick the "Update cross references" checkbox.

You need to build anyway when getting latest, so update xref at the same time. Is there another scenario where you would need to update it?

You can do it via xppc.exe with -xref parameter.

    Hi Nikolaos,

"Update cross references" is being switch on as a practice in our development team.

The scenario is I will have an automation process to refresh the OneBox and I'm currently utilising this tool d365fo.tools to accomplish my refresh.

I will include the xref parameters when building the model as suggested by Martin.

    Thanks all for the suggestion.
