What are the steps to find the items based on the previous purchase in Navision 2018

Posted on by 4,207

Hi Community,

I would like to find out, usually how do you find out say:

1. What was the item that was last purchase by so-so purchaser?

2. What was the last transaction of this item?

3. What was the last transaction of the month of this item?

Thank you!

Hi, I think all three can be done in Item ledger Entries. You can filter by Posting date, Entry type, and then sort by Entries No.

But if you want to filter purchaser, you may need to do a small customization and add new fields. I didn't find the purchaser on the page.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

    Josh,

    Adding to Josh's reply...

#1 - I have used the report Item Statistics by Purchase with a filter of Posting Date.  However, if the report needs to be more than I would look at Jet Reports (sample attached).

#2 - Item Ledger Entries will show all purchases/sales for the Item and you can filter and sort. Jet also can be used.

#3 - Item Ledger Entries can filter by Posting Date the last posting for the month.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Item ledger entries has the full picture of detail. Item Registers is a good summary view but you will miss the purchaser code. Inventory- transaction detail is an ok standard report here.
