Hi

I know you can post a purchase invoice prior to the receipt of goods however this appears to do an 'auto-receipt' of the items.

Is there a way to stop this behavior? I don't want to show the receipt until it is physically in our warehouse.

I suppose the next question would then be how do you receive the items when they eventually turn up? The 'Product Receipt' button is disabled once the invoice is posted.

This would equate to GOODS INVOICED NOT RECEIVED.

    Hi Andy,

    On the item model group, you can enable the receipt requirements. Then it won't allow you to post the invoice if the goods are not received. You can also consider using three-way matching for invoice approvals.

    Hi Andy_T,

    Posting the ordinary PO invoice will automatically post the receipt as you mention but you can post a 'prepayment' invoice prior to receiving the goods.

    Once the goods arrive, the ordinary PO invoice can be posted and the prepayment invoice can be applied against it.
