Acquisition Date does not updated after acquisition posting

Dear Support,

I had posted the fixed asset jornal with transaction type "Acquisition", but it did not update the Acquisition Date on Fixed Asset Card.

is there any setup for this issue?

    Hi Yohana,

    Can you identify a fixed asset posting and voucher?

    What is the net book value of the asset?

    Do you have a value model or only depreciation books linked to your asset?

    Dear Ludwig,

    I was posted the journal with Transaction type = Acquisition. Debit amount in journal filled by 7,500,000 IDR.

    The asset have value model with these setup:

    - Depreciation = Yes

    - Depreciaiton convention = Full Month

    The asset only have value model but does not have depreciation book.

    these are additional information about setup value model on fixed asset:

    - Method = Straight line life remaining

    - Depreciation year = Fiscal

    - Period frequency = Fiscal period

    - Create depreciation adjustment with basis adjustment = Yes

    The setup seems ok.

    I am wondering if a date value was entered in the acquisition date field before posting the acquisition.

    Do you know that?

    Dear Ludwig,

    The Acquisition Date on fixed asset value model was filled by date. but after realized it, i created new fixed asset and make sure the field is blank, but Acquisition price filled by amount. after acquisition post, the acquisition date field still empty.

    I will try to post the acquisition with condition empty field on acquisition date dan acquisition price.

    Also double check this is in a demo/test system that doesn't have any modifications implemented to be sure that everything works as expected.

    Dear Ludwig,

    The problem is because Status field filled by "Open". If Status = Not yet acquired, the Acquisition date will be updated after acquisition post.
