AX 2012 R2: Visual studio tools on Visual Studio 2012

Hi Experts,

I am having issue on visual studio development tools of AX 2012 R2 on VS2012. The installation was successful but when i open VS2012, i don't see the Dynamics AX project template and Application explorer.

Is vs tools supported in VS 2012 or not? do i need to do anything extra?

    AX 2012 isn't compatible with VS2012.

    You have to use VS2010. I think the licence for VS2012 also covers VS2010 so you just have to install it and you should be good to go.

    Visual Studio 2012 can be installed

    side-by-side with Visual Studio 2010,

    but Visual Studio 2012 is not

    supported for Microsoft Dynamics AX

    development.

    Please validate system requirements for dynamics ax 2012 r2 guide provided by microsoft
