    HI Prabhu,

When you import from excel make sure the of below points

    1. Field name in the excel should be mapped with the entity you are uploading.

    2. Try to give same entity field name in  the excel as well so that system will auto map the fields

    3. if there are any columns in the excel which is not mapped, and you hit error you need to click on the entity mapping and map it manually.

    Thanks

    Hi Prabhu,

Can you tell which entity you are using? Which fields are in your sheet? Do you have empty values? Are you using the Excel add-in or data import in D365? Probably you are mixing some terminology.

Hi Nagendra, Thanks for your tips.

I did followed the steps you have mentioned. But I am getting error while mapping fields [AX entity name - Ledgerjournallines].

"The data could not be added in that location. Please ensure 5 columns can be added in this location.

    Details:

The set operation failed because the supplied data object will overwrite or shift data."

Please let me know if I have to do any changes to resolve the issue.

    Thanks.

    Hi Andre,

I am using "LedgerJournalLine" entity and using MS Dynamics Excel Addin.

Please have a look in to the Excel sheet scree shot. I have mentioned field name as same as in the AX entity name.

    HI Prabhu,

I think you are missing table which is also supposed to upload, What are you trying to upload? what kind of transactions ? Journal entries by right you should have header and lines meaning ledgerjournaltable and ledgerjournaltrans like that.

    Thanks

    Hi Nagendra,

I am trying to upload journal lines from excel in to ledgerjournallines table.I will upload the journal header in another excel to Ledgerjournalheader table.

Please find the below steps I followed.

    1. Selected the table name by clicking design button

    2. Selected the fields from the entity fields list

    3. Mentioend the same field in the excel file

    4. Placed the cursor on first column of the sheet and try to map the excel column to the selected fields.

    MSExcelAdd_5F00_2.JPGHi Nagendra,

I have added the MS Dyanmics Excel Addin on MS Excel online to connect to D365 Operation.

I could not find the "Option" menu and "mapping label check box" in the Excel add in

Please have a look in to the screen shot.

    Thanks.

    HI Prabhu,

Please ignore my previous message, as this is referring to AX 2012 excel add in. Your approach is the same as new D365FO.

    Thanks

What exactly do you mean with step 3 and 4? If you have created the worksheet and selected the fields in step 2, the Excel worksheet should be updated with your selection. There is no need for step 3 or 4. Or you are doing completely other things.
