    Hi Prabhu,

Have you tried to create a new journal record within D365, then open the lines and from the journal form use the function 'Open in Excel' (General journal line entry)? That route should be able to publish the lines.

    Excel-addin5.JPGHi Andre,

The "publish" button is disabled in the MS Dynamics Excel Addin after adding new record.

I am able to click "New" button to add the new record in excel and then update the row after that the "Publish" button is disable. Please let me know if the steps I followed is incorrect.

    Hi Andre,

I am performing step 3  in in MS Dynamics  Excel Addin . For step 4, I have selected the first column in Excel file  and click "Done" in MS Excel Addin. The Excel Addin is not binding the column label with the selected fields.

Please have a look in to the screen shot.

    Thanks.

    Hi Prabhu,

Are you doing something in D365 or in Excel during steps 3 and 4?

No Problem, Nagendra. Thanks for trying help to me.

  • RE: Excel Add-in: Data could not be added in that location

    Hi Andre,

Here is what I have to achieve.

    (1) Create journal header in D365O (3) Add the non filled journal line in in to the journal (3) Export the journal line in to Excel (4) Download the Excel file called  Journal line template (5) Update the journal line in the template excel file with the details (6) Import the journal line template file in to D365O using MS Dynamics Excel AddIn.

=> Step 3 , I have selected the AX entity fields that are related and matched the name as  the Excel template column label ( for ex. I have selected the AX entitty field - "Voucher" for Excel column label - "Voucher")

=> Step 4, after selecting the fields from AX entity , I am trying to bind the column with the field.

Please let me know if any changes need to be done in the steps I have followed.

What exactly do you mean with step 3 and 4? If you have created the worksheet and selected the fields in step 2, the Excel worksheet should be updated with your selection. There is no need for step 3 or 4. Or you are doing completely other things.

    HI Prabhu,

Please ignore my previous message, as this is referring to AX 2012 excel add in. Your approach is the same as new D365FO.

    Thanks

    MSExcelAdd_5F00_2.JPGHi Nagendra,

I have added the MS Dyanmics Excel Addin on MS Excel online to connect to D365 Operation.

I could not find the "Option" menu and "mapping label check box" in the Excel add in

Please have a look in to the screen shot.

    Thanks.
