Hi All,

An urgent production issue. Please help any sooner.

We are facing this issue "Cannot access this report (or form) because the dictionary containing it is not loaded." while accessing few functions.

I've referred the below link, but still couldn't resolve this issue.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/help/2545189/error-message-cannot-access-this-report-or-form-because-the-dictionary

Any ideas on this. Why does the issue occurs?

Many thanks

You have created a modified form but have not loaded this modified form on this workstation. Find your FORMS.DIC file on a shared folder or another workstation and either copy it to the data subfolder on this workstation or point this workstation to the shared folder. Going to Tools->Setup->System->Edit Launch File and highlight MS Dynamics GP will allow you to correct this. If there is no modified form go to Tools->Setup->System->Alternate Forms and Reports and set the form to to be the default version not the modified version. Sometimes nothing is checked for a form or report. In this case click the default version.

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for your prompt response.

Actually this issue was with the receivable transaction entry form. And in the below path

    Tools->Setup->System->Alternate Forms and Reports

I've pointed it to the modified version.

Also I've placed the application dic in the shared folder. But still the issue was occurring.

Could you please help with this case? Should I also update the FORMS.DIC in the shared path?

Make sure you log out of GP and then back in. Does this work on any computer? If it does, copy that entire GP folder from the working computer to this computer. Are there any third party products? Does it work for other GP users on this computer?

Yes, It is working fine for us. And for us, in the edit launch file, all the dictionaries are pointed to the root folder.

But for the users, these point to a shared path.

Yes there is a third party product. And we've placed their corresponding .dic files in the shared folder too.

Will this help resolve this issue?

That depends. Third-party products will have their own forms and reports dictionaries. You should not have to copy anything to the shared folders since others are working just fine. I would go to a machine that works for a regular user and compare the DYNAMICS.SET and make sure all the third-party products are installed.
