Production Route financial dimensions

HI 

is there a way is production to have the financial dimensions updated from the ressource instead of the Production itself.

Example

I have a production order with financial dimension

Branch: LAVAL

Department:PRODUCTION

And i have an resources with the financial dimension

BRANCH: JOLIETTE

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

EMPLOYEE: OLIVIER

If i start my production like that , and i create a route card, it will have this financial Dimensions on the line.

BRANCH: LAVAL

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

EMPLOYEE:Olivier

I want that each time i use this ressource, the financial dimensions will stay

BRANCH: JOLIETTE

DEPARTMENT: PRODUCTION

EMPLOYEE: OLIVIER

    Hi,

    If you cannot fix the Branch financial dimension with the ledger account that is used for posting the costs (=> fixed findim) then you need to implement a system modification.

    Hi Alzelus,

    Where does the dimension 'LAVAL' comes from? Is this value required for other production postings?

    If the Branch will be empty, then it might default from the resource. If it is already filled, it will not be overridden.

    The Laval is coming from the sales order. They generate the production from the sales order, so the production is taking the dim fin of the sales order

    If you don't need the financial dimension value coming from the SO, you can delete it on the production order. Then it will merge the value from the resource.

    Hi Alzelus,

    Did you find a solution to this?

    We have a similar situation as well. It appears that the dimensions for Operations "Primary" and "Secondary" are coming from different sources.

    "Primary" from corresponding Resource

    "Secondary" from Production order.

    What we need is, that "Secondary" also takes the dimension from Resource. Probably your same requirement.

    Andre Arnaud de Calavon  I tried your recommendation. Unfortunately, according to configuration, an error is thrown when dimension in Production is empty. My Gut feeling is, there should be some way in the application to configure dimensions for Route Operation Priority.
