Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds Service - Error Linking Account - com.yodlee.core.usermanagement.UserNameExistsException

Hello,

Re: Dynamics 365 Financials, Business Edition

I deleted a company to recreate the company from scratch and I now get the following error message when attempting to configure a link with the Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds Service and the company bank account:

com.yodlee.core.usermanagement.UserNameExistsException Failed to register the consumer. Try the action again or specify the consumer credentials manually. The consumer credentials are not valid.

Were there credentials that I should have saved before I deleted the company? If so, can I recover those credentials? Are the credentials saved anywhere?

Thank you,

Ian McKay

How do we contact the support team?

There is one other scenario which we have encountered.

If you have Financials Bank Accounts linked to your Online Bank Accounts in Company A, then while they are still linked, you delete Company A. Next you have created Company B, and you rename that company to be Company A. You may now encounter the original error message when attempting to link your Bank Accounts to Online Bank Accounts in your new Company A. Here is the error:

    "com.yodlee.core.usermanagement.UserNameExistsException

    Failed to register the consumer.

Try the action again or specify the consumer credentials manually.

The consumer credentials are not valid."

This is due to an orphaned record. It is necessary to open a support incident with the Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Business Edition support team so that we can delete the orphan record. Another option is to not use the "Company A" name as this is a part of the orphaned record.

For future reference, unlinking all of the Bank Accounts before deleting a company would avoid this issue as well.

    All,

This is the official fix from Tammy Torgerson.

In the past, it has been possible to get past this error by using the Setup Wizard to enable Yodlee again. Here are the steps that you can follow:

    1. Create one more new company.

    2. During the creation of that company, run the Automated process which includes setting up Yodlee and banking information.

    3. Test to see if you can link your Bank Accounts and Online Bank Accounts each of your existing companies.

Can you please let me know how this goes for you?

RE: Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds Service - Error Linking Account - com.yodlee.core.usermanagement.UserNameExistsException

    Hello,

So my company is now linked once again to the company bank account via the Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds Service. I can't tell you what fixed it, but I can tell you what I did different this time.

    • Using the “Companies” page, delete the company.
    • Using the same page, create a new company (I logged-in again before creating the new company – “you never know”).
      • Note: This time I excluded Inc. from the name, so essentially the company name was different.
    • Change the profile to the new company, and re-login. This initiates the assisted company setup routine. It was during this routine, that I recreated the link to the Bank Account, following the assisted setup prompts, including reentering the bank login and security information.
      • Previously, I had attempted to create the linked accounts manually, skipping the automated process as part of the initial setup. Maybe the authentication piece was missing.
      • I’m not sure if creating the link through the assisted setup, or changing the name of the company resolved the issue, but when I linked to my Bank Account, instead of returning “New Link”, I was prompted with “Recently Linked”. The service knew I was connected before to this bank account, even though I had altered the name of the company, so I'm not sure if changing the name of the company made a difference.
      • After deleting your company, maybe the only option is to recreate the link to the bank account using the initial assisted setup process, instead of the manual configuration.

    Thank you,

    Ian

    Hello Small K,

Thank you for the email. I tried every possible resolve using the application settings but with no luck. I've opened a ticket with Microsoft and will share the resolution when I hear back.

    Thank you,

    Ian

RE: Envestnet Yodlee Bank Feeds Service - Error Linking Account - com.yodlee.core.usermanagement.UserNameExistsException

    Hello,

We are also having this exact same issue, It looks like the Consumer Name is a GUID of some sort and I was wondering if it was assigned by Yodlee or if it was using the Users GUID. If it is using the specific users GUID is there a way we can determine what the GUID is for each user?

Yodlees website says this about the specific error:

UserNameExistsException: Occurs if the user name being registered already exists within the Yodlee software platform

    Link:

    developer.yodlee.com/.../register3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
