I have created a flow that creates a folder structure in SharePoint.
How it works:
Create a contact in CRM>> Go to related tab >> Click on documents. This will automatically create the folder (OOTB functionality) >> Flow will be triggered.
The Folder structure will be like this then:
Contact Name Folder a Folder b Folder c
I want to make the folder C confidential in SharePoint and D365. The only people able to see it, will be people in Group called /Confidential Access/.
I can control who can see the folder in SharePoint as in image below:
However, In CRM I still can see all of them including Confidential even though I am not an user in the Confidential Access Group.
Control access to the SharePoint folder in Dynamics 365 by setting the level of access to the /Document Location/ table in the Security Role.
However, this setting either sees all the records in the /Document Location/ table in the organization or none of them.
Therefore, you cannot control access to a particular folder.
You can set up two teams, Team A and Team B.
Set a customized security role for both teams, and the users of the teams will inherit the team's security role.
Team A's security role is set to allow access to the /Document Location/ table.
Team B's security role does not allow access to the /Document Location/ table.
In this way, only members of Team A can see the folders in the /Document Location/ table; members of Team B cannot.
