Workflow Error -Due date exceeded in Ax 2012- Status Always PENDING

Hello,

Whenever we submit ANY work flow in the system , its status gets stuck to PENDING. When we try to start/run the work processor(Tutorial_workflow_process form) manually system keeps throwing an infolog message(as shown below) unless we stop the workflow processor.

"invalid tracking submission expected context Workflow and expected type Submission actual context Workflow and actual type Fault "

and also:

" invalid tracking submission expected context Workflow and expected type Submission actual context WorkItem and actual type DueDateExceeded"

Things we have tried so far without any luck:

1. Restarted the machine and AOS.

2. FULL CIL Compilation completed

One more thing: Do we need to take care of anything in test environment in case we are migrating the production business database and model store to test business databases and model store?

I guess there could be few steps we need to perform to correct some work flow related entries after database has been migrated. I understand we have to change workflow execution and service account , and business connector proxy account under system service account. But I am afraid there could be few more things that we may need to change.

We are stuck here. Please help.

Hello can you try to change status of all the pending workitems to cancelled in WorkflowWorkItemTable?

There might be real old workitems we had the same issue lately and this was the solution.

Hi Manoj Parashar,

To resolve this, I have found that the due date of workflow work items are expired, so I have written job to update the due date and set it to future date time. After this, the error is resolved. Please have a look at: github.com/.../Workflow%20Due%20Date%20Time%20Exceeded%20Error
