Relationship Mapping Issues

Hey guys,

We are running into some weird problem. We have the mapping set  up in the relationships, sometimes the data is not being populated in the target of the relationship mapping that were set-up. Could not re-create this issue. Does anyone aware of this issue and why this could happen?

    Mapping only works when you create a record in sequence.

    For e.g. Account to Contact is 1:N

    Now when you add a contact to an account from within the account form; mapping will work. But if you create a contact and fill the lookup 'company name', this mapping will not work.

    Let me know, if I did not got it right !

    yeah, users are creating the record in sequence.  We have a custom entity related to opportunity, users will add the custom entity record from opportunity form. It is working good, but few a times I don't see that working . This mapped field in the custom entity is read-only and can only be accessed through opportunity form.

    I am not sure why it is happening.

    It might be users have not filled that field on opportunity at first and they fill it after adding custom entity.

    To avoid glitches, you can use 'quick view feature', these will always be visible as it basically will dispalys opportunity's field on custom entity.
