Blocked accounts in Field Service

We have a need to prevent work orders from being created when an account is in a blocked status (using any of the block status options). I would like to have a flag or an error pop up when trying to use the blocked account.

    Hi Crawford,

    The blocked field is in account form?

    Maybe you can create a real time workflow to achieve it.

    Go Settings > Processes:

    Set workflow:

    Condition:

    Stop workflow with canceled:

    Save and Active it:

    Test:

    Account 'A. Datum Corporation (sample)' is blocked:

    One error will appear when you select blocked account to create work order:

    Hi Leah Ju - thank you so much for this response.  I would like to confirm that with the workflow the billing account can be marked as blocked and it will carry to all of the service accounts as well.

    The workflow can have an "or" condition to check the account through both the service and billing account fields on the work order.

    Hi,

    Another way to prevent such would be to change the view for Service and Billing Accounts fields on WO form to display only non-blocked accounts. If the account is blocked then user won't see this account on a drop-down.

    I am not sure what step(s) I am missing, but I am still able to create work orders with this activate workflow.  Can you point me in the right direction?

    Try to uncheck 'Run it in a background'.

    That option automatically populates and I am under to uncheck it.   I am going to try selecting As an on-demand process and see if that will work.

    I was still able to create W11911, however, I found this in the process sessions.  The WO doesn't seem effected and is sitting in an unscheduled status

    Is there 'Convert to a real-time workflow' button at the top ribbon during workflow edition? You have to make it a real-time workflow to have an impact on current form.
