I am working on deploying a DR environment for Dynamics 365 finance and operations.
in the DR Site we have additional domain controller, additional ADFS EXTENDED, And SQL server replicated through always on availability groups all through the VPN connection.
so for the AOS/Orchestrator servers and Management reporter, if we gonna have replication through vmware replication to take the machines and fail them over during DR with different IP Addresses.
when we failover, we need to update the lcoal agent to take the new configuration what is the optimal way to achieve this, i read that we need to use the same deployment slot of production, but can we make it point to the names or reconfigure the ip addresses in the service fabri, or does it require an additional slot in the DR envionment in the LCS, but having different slot might cause us to not replicate the environment but have one on standby mode in the dr is that correct with the lcoal agent of the DR slot?
appreciate recommendation on the best practices and easiest way.
