Need to design check that's not 8.5 by 11 (for dot matrix)

Posted on by 30

I'm upgrading from an old version of Navision. The former report for checks doesn't translate to the new version. We need to design a check that's 7 inches high and 7.5 inches wide (includes check with stub) for our Epson DFX 8500 printer. I find it hard to believe there are no Navision installations out there printing checks on such a dot matrix printer. Currently trying to modify the 8.5 by 11 form without much luck.

In Comparison: I find it strange dot matrix printers are still used :)

We used to use DFX 5000+ and it was a horrible task trying to print on them once we moved to Nav.  We used to get a random extra line feed here & there - throwing the whole print job off.

As suggested above, we invested in a new Dell 2330dn laser.  All headaches were gone and now we can even print the signature right on the check no more signing each individual check. Spits them out fast & crisp.

We now get our checks from https://www.compuchecks.com/

    Hello

I suggest to get the customer to buy a new printer.  It's much cheaper than solving the problem through software.
