Error while Releasing product

Hello everyone,

When I try to release a product to another company an error occurred saying as follow:

( One or more products cannot be released. Validate open product releases in the Open product releases form to identify the reason, and try again.)

When I opened the product releases I see the product there and when i open view infolog it says:

(( Field 'Item number' must be filled in. ))

The release has been cancelled.

so How can I solve it??

Hi Sarahx99,

Please check if there is a number sequence setup for item numbers on inventory management. If there is no sequence, complete the setup. If there is one, what settings were done on the number sequence?

I have entered the setup in inventory management and I have found the number sequence for the item number . what next?

The demo data has this setup - so the 'item number' number sequence is flagged as 'Manual' and the system uses the product number as the item number when you release the product.

Ok , I found the item number's Number sequence in the inventory's parameters , and searched for the code and it returned four records , all set in Manual . what next?

Do you get this error in every company (or just one)? Try doing what I did in my screenshot and check each company's inventory parameters - don't go directly to the Number sequences in Organisation administration. Each number sequence reference has a 'scope' and you could have been looking at the number sequence setup of different companies. A screenshot of the product releases form and the error might be useful.
