Hello

i looked on the community but I didn’t find the answer.

I am using Finance and Operation and we have closed for pickup all the holidays and statutory holidays. Some users can't enter time on these day but some other can.

We have checked the calendar associated to these user it is the same one.

To explain:

User A with calendar A can't put hours on 1st of January

User B with calendar A can put hours on 1st of January.

Timesheet setup is taking which calendar ? user's one or the one is the setup ?

THank you

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you share the project setup in the HR module for your user A and user B?

Also share how your timesheet periods are setup in project management and accounting.

    Many thanks,

    Ludwig

    Hello Meggie,

    The setup looks absolutely identical.

I would thus expect that D365FO behaves the same for both employees.

Can you try replicating this issue in a different demo/test environment?

If you can, I would suggest opening a support request with MS.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

The good behaviour would be to not allow user to enter their time on close day right ?

Can it be related to security role they don’t have the same security role

    Hello Meggie,

If they have different roles assigned then this might be a possible reason for the different behavior.

Can you do some testing in a separate dev/test environment, assign the users the same roles and test the system behavior again?

Would be great if you could keep us updated.

    Many thanks and best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello

I did the test in another environment that’s is a copy of our prod environment

First time the role of user A on resource A he can’t enter time

Second test the role of user B on resource A he can do it

So  I think it is answering my question
