Is it possible to have Dynamics 365 on both Cloud and On-Premise?

As per the title, would like to check if this is do-able:

- Production environment hosted on premise due to local policy

- Development environment hosted on cloud for ease of developers from different remote location.

- Customization and codes from Development environment still be able to be deployed into Production environment (on premise)?

I dont have any background in Dynamics, just a seasoned Siebel Developer.

    Hi partner,

It is possible to have both on-premise and online instance at the same time.

But please note that, some functions are only available in Online instances. And generally speacking, Online instances are several versions higher than on-permise instances.

Here is the blog about the difference between online and on-premise.

And in development, You can deploy your development from online to on-premise, but you have to make sure that both environments have the same version.

You could refer to the following docs for more informaiton about the latest version of online and on-premise.

    Hope it helps,

    Best Regards,

    Leo

I don't see why not. Only thing to be careful about would be version difference. Generally, online is a bit ahead of on-premise. Otherwise, there should be no issue in doing so.
