Inventory Close and Recalculation running in parallel in batch job

Hello All,

I have a question regarding Inventory Close and Recalculation running parallel in batch jobs.

Assuming that there is a daily recalculation batch which run for instance at 23:00 every night. At the end of the month, an inventory close is scheduled at 22:55 ( 5 minutes before the recalculation batch is run). Will the two operations create a deadlock or one operation has priority over the other.

Also what will happen if the Inventory Close is scheduled to run a few minutes after the recalculation batch has started.

Hi Rina,

It is recommended to have them not running together. I have not encountered issues, but also never had them running at the same time. I think it can cause issues as potentially the recalculation might pick up the wrong settlements.

The closing job dialog has an option to run the recalculation directly after the process ends.
