Ribbon Workbench: Display Rule based on Field Containing Data

Hi All,

I have an issue where I need to hide a OTB button based on a free text field containing data.

My experience with the Ribbon Workbench is limited and although I have found some great guides online for conditional hiding, I can't find one that fits what I need.

So basically we have the Case Entity and need to hide the closure button until a certain multiple line of text field is completed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Sam

    Hi Sam,

Based on the field has value or not, the button will be visible or disabled. You can achieve it with the help of ‘ValuRule’ of enable rule in ribbon workbench.

For example, I want to hide Save&Close button in Contact based on text Muti text field.

    Here are steps.

1.write JS and add it as web resource to onChange event of form.

    2.Go ribbon workbench

    (1) On form tab, right-click button and select custom command.

    (2) Add a new enable rule and click it to add step ‘ValueRule.

    (3) fill ‘ValueRule’ as follow shown:

    (4) Click command to add enable rules that just add.

    Sam,

Ribbon (in fact Command Bar) did not get breaking changes since 2011 so the post is still relevant.

    Hi Andrew,

Is this still valid as this is from CRM 2011?

    Cheers
