Can recurring integration be shared with different companies?

Hi,

So I have a recurring job that works whenever a journal gets created  for a certain company.

And now we decided that this recurring job should work for another company as well.

When we go to DataManagementIT to see recurring jobs we see the records regardless on which data entity are we standing on.

However, if I do create a journal in the new company, I don't see records being exported. It only works for the first company.

How to make it work for other companies?

    Hi IntegrationBeginner,

It is up to you. I think that i choose creating a new recurring job.

BYOD can be used in your case while you should take into consideration your requirements also. In BYOD you own data warehouse that can be connected to your reporting tool for analyzing or can be used as a data hub for integrations.

    Hi Alireza,

We can continue BYOD discussion in the other question.

Regarding point 4...I didn't understand what do u mean? So both ways worked for me. The question was which one do you think is better? Creating a new recurring job for each legal entity or copy the batch where we'll have one recurring job and inside it there will be multiple records for each entity based on the recurrence.

And in general do u think BYOD should be used in this case? Instead of those 2 ways I mentioned?

    Hi IntegrationBeginner,

Regarding 1 and 3 can you elaborate by providing screenshot,

For 2, I have already provided a feedback on another thread created by you.

Regarding 4, As for as you have tested and it is functional in regards to your requirement, you can apply the rutine.

    Hi Alireza,

Based on the screnshot you provided it seems for this "export across all entities" to appear , my project category needs to be Integration.

    1. What's the difference between these two categories integration and Project(project is my current category so I can't see this button)

    2. What's BYOD

    3. Do I need to change the export project category?

    4. And as for the two options I provided which is creating a new recurring job using the new legal entity I want for the existing export data project or go to batch jobs and look for the current recurring batch jobs and copy it to a certain data area...which one is better?

I told u first option will create 2 recurring jobs. However the 2nd one related to copying will keep using the same recurring job where in the queue a record for each data area will appear.

    Hi,

Have you tried to activate "Export across all companies" on existing export project and create a new recurring job?

I think that the provided workaround is functional.

    Hi Alireza,

So we are on the same page which is creating a new recurring job using the existing export project.

As I said this worked but I was interested in a way that would work directly. So there is another way that worked which is going to the current recurring batch job and clicking copy batch job then choosing the company we want to copy it to.

Using this way, I was able to use the same recurring job and inside this job I was getting records in the queue for both companies, so each recurrence, 2 records gets created one for company A and one for company B.

What do you think of both ways and which one is better?

    Hi IntegrationBeginner,

I mean that you use recurring integration DMF export job, you need to run the same job of the each company and  set up authorization policy.

If you use BYOD export job (i.e. Azure SQL DB), you can create a simple DMF export job and active "Export across all companies" then the DMF job will export data across all companies.

    Hi Alireza,

I just tried to go to current export data project that is working for the first company. However I went to this screen while using the new data company. And in this export project I created a new recurring job and it worked. But Is there a way for it to work without creating a new recurring job?

And Why do u want me to create a new export project then create a recurring job and not use the current export data project and create new recurring job from there. Does it make a difference?

    Hi Ankit,

It's export job and not import. And yes data area Id is there

    Hi IntegrationBeginner,

Please check the data entity file which you are using for recurring job import. Does it contain and support the legal entity field?

    Regards,

    Hi IntegrationBeginner,

Have you tried to create same recurring integration data job in data management for the specific company (i.e create a new export job for the another companies)?

More info about recurring integration from Microsoft docs:
