Hello all,

I am new to Dynamics 365 development, and I am trying to create a plugin which will automatically create custom fields after the plugin has been installed.

Any assistance or example of code will be greatly appreciated. I've been trying for days without any luck!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi thanks for your reply,

Basically, when on a lead record I would like there to be a new section under the summary tab which has several new custom fields which have been generated by the plugin.

    For example:

    pastedimage1657224880239v2.png

This should be created at the point of the plugin installation and will be eventually be populated with data via the plugin, therefore the fields should be read only (if possible).

    Hi,

I have a plugin that will help you to create custom fields in Dynamics 365.

The plugin which I am talking about is Dynamics 365 Plugin Development.

This plugin will solve all your problems regarding custom fields.

You can just give it a try!

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Luke22

May I ask what is your use case for creating the custom fields via a plugin? If attribute creation is a one time activity, they can very well be created outside of a plugin code.

You can create a Solution which has the plugin + entity with these new attributes. Import this solution in target instance to deploy fields as well as the plugin.

If you can share more information about your use case, it will help.

    Thanks !
