Good day,

Although I'm a new addition to the Community, today in no way has been the first day I've visited here. I have been searching for a remedy to solve my Alerts issue for almost over 1 week. Today I decided enough is enough...

Following the path:- System Admin > Periodic > Alerts > Change based alerts, I am getting the functionality of the alerts however I have to check the Batch processing check box to receive alerts then un-check to receive again.

What could I possible have done wrong in set up?

Please help!

My understanding of your issue does not make sense. Did you check the status of the batch job Change based alerts in System Administration - Inquiries - Batch Jobs ??

Did you also correctly configure the Recurrence ?

It doesn't make sense to me either, hence why I'm here.

I did not check the Batch jobs. What should I be looking for?

I set the Recurrence to No end date.

Should it be set to something else?

What type of alerts are you expecting ?

Go check the batch, look at the start date and last time it ran.

I've read that so many times... I could recite it to you. Lol.

I'm attempting to get change based alerts on journals (approved/rejected).

So now, I'm receiving alerts every 10 mins stating "The batch job Change based alerts completed successfully". Clearly I'm missing something...

    haha

"The batch job Change based alerts completed successfully".

It is an alert on your alert batch job lol Look at the picture you have attached, you see the button "Alerts". It is where you configure you Alert.

If the batch job already exist, you can modify  it in System Administration - Inquiries - Batch Jobs. Check the column "Has Alert"... then select the batch job and click button Alert in the top menu.

I believe I followed your instructions but after 10 mins, here came another alert so clearly I'm doing something wrong.

    These were my steps:-

System Admin > Inquiries > Batch jobs > Batch jobs

I selected the Change based alerts then on the ribbon to the top I clicked the Alerts button > Unchecked all the boxes > OK.

Does this mean that the alerts are working at this time? However I'm receiving the batch job processing alert?

    I appreciate your patience.

Just make sure, I am helping you to disable the alert  when a batch job has completed successfully. For that case, there is nothing else to do than clearing the "Ended" box. If you still receive "The batch job Change based alerts completed successfully", then it is strange. If you want, delete the batch job and recreate it, but this time don't forget to click the button Alert (picture in the first post).

Second, check if you have more than one batch job called "Change based alerts", i believe it has to be created for each legal entities where you want it.

Ok Mathieu, I think I've done it!

Its been 10 mins and I didn't receive another alert.

I believe there was another Change based alert pending or "Waiting" so hence the last alert. I reviewed the list and unchecked the boxes. The "Has alert"status is now "No".

Thanks so much! Have a great evening.
