Fixed asset journal entries import by open the journal in Excel Error

Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know how I can fix this error? Thanks!

Details: A row created in data set AssetJournalLines was not published. Error message: 'Write failed for table row of type 'AssetJournalLineEntity'. Infolog: Error: The number of dimension values specified in 12860-101-21123 is different from the number set up in the active format for data entities.

Things to try:

• Make sure the number of dimension values specified matches the active format for data entities.

• Make sure that any dimension values specified that include the chart of accounts delimiter character in the name escape the delimiter character with a backslash character '\'.; Error: Error found when validating record..'

Hi,

Please take a look at this post and check how the default financial dimension is setup for importing using Data management. You can change the format and try the import again.

Hello chloex123,

Please check General Ledger / Chart of Accounts / Dimensions / Financial dimension configuration ...

In this form you define the financial dimension used for importing transactions.

Make sure that you have the same number and sequence of findims included in your Excel upload file.

Hi chloex123,

You are looking at Financial dimension sets and Financial dimensions default templates forms. You need to look at Financial dimensions configuration for integrating applications -

Here you can check the formats defined to default dimension, ledger dimension etc. I believe you are trying to import ledger dimensions, so you can check the format setup here in your environment.

Hi Gunjan,

Interesting! I don't have that option in my system, but I found the closest one I can get - Configure account structures - Segments. If this format (MainAcct-Channel-CostCentre) is what I should be following, I have already did, but I still get the error.

Hi chloex123,

You might not have permissions to this form. You can check with someone who has System admin privileges as he/she would surely have access to this form.
